My Interview experience at VIRTUSA Pool
drive 2014
Starting on Day1, They conducted written exam in the Morning
Session. It was conducted By Aspiring Minds and the paper patter was like
this..
Consisted
of 4 sessions:
1.
Quantitative Aptitude
Logarithms, Hcf and Lcm, Divisibility, Permutations and
Combinations, Profit and Interest, Ages.
2.
Logical Ability
Coding and Decoding, letter Anology and Classification
,Series Completion,Blood Relation, Directions, Syllogisms, Statement Conclusion,etc
3.
English
Synonyms/Antonyms , Complete the sentence, sentence
Correction , spot the Error, Sentence ordering, Questions based on passage
4.
C programming
Data Structures And
basic Algorithms Main, Functions, Execution, Debugging, Finding Error in
programs
These topics are enough to clear the Written exam of AMCAT easily.

I Cleared Written Test and I was called For next round i.e,
Group Discussion(In GD they gave us a Case study and asked us to plan a best strategy for
solving the problem). My case study was that, I have to escape from a jail
along with 14 other gang members. There were many ways that we can follow and
many obstacles that we would face in our escape from jail to Airport.
The strategy of selection was that, the organising head was
looking for the best Solution from starting point to ending and he was checking
our team spirit and logical levels , whether we were supporting other plans
and how we were managing our time to complete the given task.

On the
Day2: (Technical 1 , Technical 2 and HR round)
Technical Interview1:
This round is very imp to make ourself in Safe position. The Questions they asked to
me were,
1. Tell me about Yourself
2. Tell me about Your parents, Do you help your Mom if so in
what Way.?
3. What programming languages do you know.?
I said, I am
comfortable with C basics and I know MATLAB(as my stream was ECE).Then she
asked me about my favourite subject in electronics. I said Digital and VLSI, then
again I was asked about the author of Digital Electronics text book. I was not
able to remember the author name, so I just stated that , mostly I won’t read
text books Mam but rather I prefer
Online course materials, I always try to clear my doubts by searching in Net.
3. Rate yourself in ‘C’ language?
I said 3.she started than to ask about what programs do you
know. I said many. I was asked to write any 1 program, Luckily I wrote Even/odd
program and explained clearly each and every step. Next, What do you Know more
in C..?
I said I know the concepts of Data Structures. She asked me
about Bubble Sort and Quick sort techniques and I explained with an example.
She asked which method do you prefer and why? I answered Quick sort and
explained its advantages.
4. What about Oops language..?
I
replied, I didn’t learnt that language, I don’t know nothing about it in
a polite way.
5. Tell me about Your Mini project?
6. What are the microprocessors , you have learnt in your
course?
I said 8085 and
8086.which is best? I said their differences.
Where this processors are now using? I said with a Smile,
they are just mostly used in our colg labs,dats it. Those are outdated processors
after which many series have came . What are they? I replied INTEl has first
manufactured 4004 den 8085,8086, next came Core series, Pentium series, and
Celeron (present latest processor for mobile devices is ATOM, which is still not released into
market)
Mam: K, it was nice talking to You. Do you have any
Questions?
I said no Mam,
Thank You.
In half an hour, I got my result and I was
selected for Next round.
Technical Interview2:
This round was totally based on your personal Skills.
1. What was the GD topic given to you, what was your plan?
2. What do you about IT?
3. As you are electronics student, what is major difference
you find B/w IT and Core..?
4. My Hobbies? (I said Knowing latest Discoveries)
oK. Tell me one that you seen recently. Luckily, I prepared
nearly 5 discoveries and I was happie to explain one among them.
Then, I was asked What you have listened about IT, latest
discoveries or anything in IT.?
I explained
about one of the Innovating project that was going in IBM at present.
5. What is Your
Opinion about Team Work?
I started
explaining everything about it with examples.
6.
Tell me about your Weakness?
I explained my weakness ,and how I overcame it.
7.What are the other Courses you
learnt during your Academics?
Initially, I was much interested
in Robotics. So, I said I have attendant 3 workshops and I have learnt how to
build a Robot that can follow line, similarly Wall avoider Robot and learnt how
to make interaction with those Robots
Sir: ok, it was nice talking to you, All the Best.
In 10 mins .I was then called for HR, I thought it was my
big Day and got excited. I slowly made my
Self comfortable and Walked in to HR Pannel.
Surprisingly, there were 2 HR’s in that panel. But it was
nothing to worry about, I just kept Confidence and Started answering.
HR Interview (Question were Simple )
1. Tell me about Your Family Background?
2. As my brother is working in Tech Mahindra, they asked
about his Domain. I was also asked about his experience, what you have listened
about IT from him?
3. One of the HR, gave me a situation and asked me to react
for it?
It was
Like, You have asked your manger for a leave of 10 days. You were granted for
it, But the Manager wants you to complete a task which would take nearly 150
Hrs and then leave for Holiday. The time I got for it to complete was exact 1
week. I explained completely which strategy I would follow, mostly it seemed they
were impressed.
4. Tell me about your Passion? Tell me about one situation
were you proved it?
That’s it.
They said it was nice talking you, All the Best.
I made Strong Shake Hands with them and said it was pleasure
meeting You both sir.
In 10 Minutes , one of the other Head’s of that Company Came
to me and asked Why were You Lyke that in HR round? Why haven’t You performed
well? What Happend?
I was shocked Listening to him. But with Confidence I said
No Sir it was Fine, I did my Best sir and i Felt Very Happie With that round.
He said oK ,Dont Worry......
You made it. You are into the Organisation, Congratulation.
I said : Oh God, You really Scared Me Sir with a Laughing
Face ,I thanked him a Lot and Left from there.
Really, It was one of the biggest days in my life and I
will Never forget them.
My simple Suggestion for all is, Be Confident with every
Answer you give and keep an Impression for every Answer by making it look some
what different and Interesting, which I followed good enough.
